Year-End Prayer

“God of wisdom, We thank You for all the gifts You have given us throughout this school year. We praise You for giving us life, for saving us in Christ and for choosing us to be Your people. As we come to the end of this school year, we voice our gratitude for the good things You have done in us, and we praise You for all who have shared in the work of this school. A Message from Mr. Risto

Another school year has quickly come and gone! Once again, it has been a wonderful year of learning and growing as a St. Luke school community. On behalf of the staff here at St. Luke, we would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt appreciation for your support, partnership and dedication towards your child/children’s education. As the year comes to a close, we would like to congratulate all of our students on a successful year and wish you and your families a restful and fun-filled summer vacation!

To all of our families who are leaving St. Luke, we wish you all the best, especially to our grade six students and families who will be moving on to attend high school next year. A beautiful celebration was had last week! Thank you to all who attended.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank our Catholic School Council and parent volunteers for being an integral part of enhancing the student experience at St. Luke. We are truly blessed to have such a hard working and devoted team of parents who lend their time to plan, organize and support many events and fundraising initiative  for our school. We graciously appreciate each and every one of you! Thank you.

June always brings us farewells and new “welcomes” to St. Luke School. We would like to say a very well-deserved thank you and best wishes to Marie Tanguay, Louise Lapointe, Teri Shurb, Alison Rose, Deborah Cox, Nicole Vickers, Evan Faux, Karine Roy and Jan Labelle. We wish them all the best in their new endeavors. We will have a few new staff members joining our team next year. As staffing is still underway for next school year, we’ll inform you of our new team in September!

On behalf of all of our staff, it has been a pleasure to work with all of you this school year and we look forward to seeing you at St. Luke next year. We wish you a restful and safe summer vacation.

Yours in Education, Chris Risto            ____________________________________________________________________

Message from our Catholic School Council

Your Catholic School Council would like to thank everyone for supporting all the great initiatives that we put into place this year from fundraising to lunches and everything in between. We would not be able to do as much as we do at our school without this support.  Please also note that the pizza and subway online lunch ordering for next school year will be available on the first day of school.

Once again, thank you so much for the support and we wish you a safe and happy summer break.

Barrhaven Food Drive Update

Hey Parents & Guardians,

We want to remind you that the Year-End St. Luke Family Fun Fair is Monday, June 24, and that all the money from the dunk tank will go to the Barrhaven Food Cupboard. They will use the money to buy food to give to hungry people. Everyone says that the dunk tank is really fun. You give money to get a couple of balls to throw at a target, and, if you hit the target, you get to watch the teachers splash into the cold water!!! So, give money, have fun, and save hungry people! See you Monday!

By Rachel and Karlee and all the Grade 4 students
