Fall Food Drive in support of the Barrhaven Food Cupboard
Last week, we launched our fall food drive in support of the Barrhaven Food Cupboard. Many thanks to those who have already contributed. We will continue collecting non-perishable food items this week. Thank you for your continued support and generosity. ____________________________________________________________________Terry Fox Walk/Run/RollSt. Luke School will be participating in the Terry Fox National School Run on Friday, September 28th. After a kick-off cheer at 1:00 pm, classes will walk, run and roll for 30 minutes around a course set up on the playground in an effort to “Be Like Terry”. Students are encouraged to donate a “Toonie for Terry”. Money that will be donated to the Terry Fox Foundation. During this meeting, a revised constitution was presented and approved by the school community. This will be posted on the school website shortly. We welcome the returning members and are very happy to see 3 new members on the St. Luke Catholic School Council. We look forward to an amazing year ahead as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of St. Luke, Nepean. Our next Catholic School Council meeting will be held on Wednesday October 17, 2018 at 6:30pm in the learning commons. At that time, the remaining dates will be set. Please remember that you do not have to be a voting member of council to join the meetings. All parents/caregivers at St. Luke are welcomed to attend. Volunteers are required to have a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) in order to work with students, or a Criminal Records (CR) Check if not working directly with students.
