A Prayer for Good Friday

“O Jesus, Who by reason of Thy burning love for us hast willed to be crucified and to shed Thy most precious blood for the redemption and salvation of our souls, look down upon us here gathered together in remembrance of Thy most sorrowful passion and death, fully trusting in Thy mercy’ cleanse us from sin by Thy grace, sanctify our toil, give into us and unto all those who are dear to us our daily bread, sweeten our sufferings, bless our families, and to the nations so sorely afflicted, grant Thy peace, which is the only true peace, so that by obeying Thy commandments we may come at last to the glory of heaven. Amen”.

Lenten Charity at St. Luke

We will continue to fulfill the Church’s Lenten mission of prayer, fasting and almsgiving throughout the month of March by supporting the Roger Neilson House, in memory of Cara Dance.

On Friday, March 2nd, students are encouraged to wear their colourful pyjamas to school. A 2$ donation is greatly appreciated. In addition, on Friday, March 9th, students may wear their jersey’s or sports wear to school. Again, a 2$ donation is appreciated.

We will continue to sell tickets for the beautiful handmade quilt which has been made by Mrs. Peddle. Tickets are 25 cents each or 5 tickets for 1$ . All proceeds collected will be donated to The Roger Neilson House.

For more information about the Roger Neilson House, please visit their WEBSITE.

An Easter Blessing

“God our Father, by raising Christ your Son you conquered the power of death and opened for us the way to eternal life. Let our celebration today raise us up and renew our lives by the Spirit that is within us. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen”.

On behalf of the St. Luke staff, we wish you and your families a very blessed Easter weekend.

Please note that there is no school for students on Friday, March 30th as well as Monday, April 2nd.

“May you have the gladness of Easter, which is Hope, The promise of Easter which is Peace, The spirit of Easter which is Love”. Happy Easter!
